Service interruption

We are currently experiencing a service interruption as of 12:22pm. Due to the extreme cold, a major outage is affecting Jersey City and Lower Manhattan. Our team is working with our outside provider to resolve it.

We’ve been told there is a major fiber break. Our entire team is working and currently waiting for our outside provider to finish their repairs. They’ve promised us a maximum of 4 hours of no internet service.

    • We have been informed that the fiber repair crew and technicians will be on location by 10 pm. At that time we will have a better understanding of the root cause of the issue and will be able to relay an ETA.

    • 11:20 pm Update: No news from the repair team. The good news is that our engineering team has successfully redirected several subscriber IPs to our alternate carrier and has confirmed the restoration of services. Our team is now scripting the changes so that we can apply the Layer 2 config changes to all CPE’s (on premise equipment) remotely. Over the next hour all of our subscribers with dynamic IPs (more than 90% of the network) should be restored, it will take longer for those with static IPs.
